Winlet glazing robot is picture perfect says hire company bosses

Winlet Glazing Robots

Hire company executives are impressed by Winlet’s innovative design, saying they can see how it will make glass installation easier.

They commented as they saw the Winlet 575 glazing robot presented by Hird at the Executive Hire Show at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, in February.

From top to bottom, the Danish-designed and manufactured glazing robot has been designed to support safer and more productive glass installation.

Hird Director John Wilding said the glazing robot attracted a lot of admiring looks and positive remarks, as hire company directors saw its potential.

He added: “The Winlet glazing robot is designed to be a simple to use, yet very powerful glass handling and installation tool.

“Visitors to the Executive Hire Show were particularly impressed with the operator controls which make good use of pictorial diagrams.

“They could see how this reflects the glazing robot’s ease-of-use, and how quickly, with the right training, an operative can get to grips with using the machine to its full potential.”

Show visitors were also impressed by the compact size of the little green machine – making it easy to work in confined spaces.

The Winlet 575 glazing robot is one of three currently in the product range. It has a maximum lifting capacity of 575kg.

Thanks to its four powerful vacuum cups, it can lift, carry and place glass sheets, and other non-porous material with precision.

A big plus for Winlet glazing robots is its fully-automated positioning system, allowing glass to be picked up, carried and placed in one continuous operation.

John Wilding said: “This significantly increases productivity. In fact, we have clients who say glass installation productivity increases by 50% using Winlet glazing robots.

“As hire companies look to expand their hire fleets and service offers, in certainly makes sense to.

Other models in the Winlet glazing robot range include the Winlet 575, with a maximum lifting weight of 350kg, and the Winlet 600, which can lift 600kg.

Hird is the authorised UK and Ireland dealer for Winlet, and can provide operator training plus excellent after-sales support, thanks to its fleet of mobile engineers.
